This poem was written as I was faced with internal personal and professional struggles since birth including battling health challenges and still overcoming them each day only through God’s grace and His mercy. So, my fellow creators of life’s journey, fight for your life since you only have one to live on this earth. Peace and blessings to you as well as take care.

Wake up! Get up! Go!

Not now! Yeah, right! “I don’t want to!”

These are some excuses or phrases we say daily to ourselves,

Understanding this, we all can use a little help,

Yet why can we just say, “I will!”

I will wake up.

I will get up.

I will go!

I will walk with pride.

I will fight for life!
